Have you tried to run the program in windows 7 compatibility mode? You should give it a try. Maybe you've been playing in windows 10 for months or years without any problems, but sometimes a windows update can change the whole thing.

And, if there's any alert windows, please take a screenshot if possible, or write down what the window(s) said. Then upload it, so that we can have a better understanding of what you've been encountered.
