Shijiazhuang-based Hebei Airlines (NS) has placed a firm order for 10 ARJ21s, according to Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China (COMAC). The manufacturer did not disclose the exact price but earlier reports place the value of the order at $30 million at list prices.
; G" G3 c6 X! B; mNS was launched last year using assets of Dongbei Air. This year NS went through a share restructuring when Hebei Aviation Group, the Hebei provincial government-controlled company, acquired a 62% stake in the carrier. The acting governor of Hebei, Zhang Qingwei, is formerly COMAC chairman.
$ ? ^6 ^' D6 n% v% HCOMAC has received 340 orders for the ARJ21, which is in the test-flight phase to gain CAAC certification. The manufacturer, which was scheduled to deliver its first ARJ21 to Chengdu Airlines Nov. 28, has pushed back delivery into next year owing to the inability of some key parts to pass flight tests.8 ?8 S e: O' V6 p2 _3 `
